Why Bullpen Financial Coaching?

If money feels overwhelming, confusing, or is a constant source of tension, you’re not alone.

At Bullpen Financial Coaching, I help people gain clarity, confidence, and control over their money—so it goes from a source of stress to supporting their life goals and dreams.

Many people I work with, ask the following questions:

  • “Why does it feel like we’re falling further behind even though we make good money?”

  • “How do we stop living paycheck to paycheck?”

  • “Why are we afraid to check our bank account?”

  • “We argue about money, and I don’t know how to fix it.”

  • “We make decent money, but it’s hard to understand where it all goes.”

  • “I know what I should be doing - I just don’t know where to start.”

  • “I think I’m doing the right things but would welcome a second opinion”

This isn’t about rigid budgets, complicated systems, or being judged for past choices. It’s about creating a safe, open space where you can finally make sense of your money and feel good about the direction you’re heading.

As your financial partner, I walk alongside you to bring clarity to your finances and confidence to your decisions. Through practical guidance, we’ll identify your options, build positive habits, and create a clear plan that fits your lifestyle, values, and goals. The result is you feeling informed, organized, empowered, and in control of your financial future.

About Coach Bill

My wife and I have spent more than 20 years raising our three children while navigating the same financial questions and challenges many families face every day. We got married, combined our finances, bought a home, and built a life together. Along the way, we managed the realities of growing a family—education decisions, travel sports, college planning, and everything in between—while working full-time, paying bills, saving for retirement and college, investing for the future, and planning for long-term goals like a vacation home.

These experiences shape how I work with clients. I understand that financial decisions don’t happen in isolation—they happen alongside busy careers, family responsibilities, and competing priorities. I know firsthand that progress doesn’t require perfection—just consistency and a plan.

I have a Bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Penn State University, along with a Wealth Management Specialist (WMS) designation from the College of Financial Planning. I’ve spent 30 years in the financial services industry and currently serve as an adjunct faculty member at Penn State University.

I’m passionate about personal finance because while money can’t guarantee happiness, it does make it easier to achieve your goals and live with less stress. A clear financial plan and simple, repeatable system free up your time and mental energy so you can focus on what matters most to you. Coaching has been a consistent theme throughout my career—whether leading teams in financial services, teaching students, coaching youth sports, or working one-on-one as a financial coach. I enjoy meeting people, understanding their stories, and helping them move forward with confidence.

Outside of work, I enjoy exercising, yardwork and gardening, golfing, going to the beach, attending my kids’ sporting events, and following professional and college sports.
