About Coach Bill

My wife and I have spent more than 20 years raising our three children while navigating the same financial questions and challenges many families face every day. We got married, combined our finances, bought a home, and built a life together. Along the way, we managed the realities of growing a family—education decisions, travel sports, college planning, and everything in between—while working full-time, paying bills, saving for retirement and college, investing for the future, and planning for long-term goals like a vacation home.

These experiences shape how I work with clients. I understand that financial decisions don’t happen in isolation—they happen alongside busy careers, family responsibilities, and competing priorities. I know firsthand that progress doesn’t require perfection—just consistency and a plan.

I have a Bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Penn State University, along with a Wealth Management Specialist (WMS) designation from the College of Financial Planning. I’ve spent 30 years in the financial services industry and currently serve as an adjunct faculty member at Penn State University. Additional certifications include Financial Planning (Dec 2024), Personal Finance Concepts for Everyday Decision Making (Dec 2025) and Annuities for Today's Investor (Dec 2024).

I’m passionate about personal finance because while money can’t guarantee happiness, it does make it easier to achieve your goals and live with less stress. A clear financial plan and simple, repeatable system free up your time and mental energy so you can focus on what matters most to you. Coaching has been a consistent theme throughout my career—whether leading teams in financial services, teaching students, coaching youth sports, or working one-on-one as a financial coach. I enjoy meeting people, understanding their stories, and helping them move forward with confidence.

Outside of work, I enjoy exercising, yardwork, gardening, golfing, going to the beach, attending my kids’ sporting events, and following professional and college sports.

If you’re interested in learning more or exploring how financial coaching could help you, I invite you to schedule time with me. I look forward to connecting with you.
